Terms of Service
The terms that apply to this website and to work carried out by Redwood Draft Ventilation Co.
Last updated: 12 June 2026
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of http://blog.intercoolventilation.com and set out the general basis on which Redwood Draft Ventilation Co. provides services. Where a signed proposal or contract exists for a specific job, that document takes precedence over anything here.
2. Use of this website
You may browse, print and share pages of this site for your own non-commercial use. You may not scrape, republish or resell its content, misrepresent it as your own, attempt to interfere with its operation, or use it for anything unlawful.
3. Information accuracy
We keep the content here current and truthful to the best of our ability. Price ranges shown are indicative only, published so you can budget, and do not constitute an offer. Technical guidance on this site is general information about ventilation practice — it is not a substitute for a site-specific assessment by a licensed contractor, and no contractor-client relationship is created by reading it.
4. Quotes and pricing
Written proposals are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. A proposal becomes binding when accepted in writing by both parties. Changes to scope after acceptance are handled through a written change order, priced and approved before the work is carried out. Where a proposal identifies a contingency (for example, unknown conditions inside a ceiling void), the trigger and the amount are stated in the proposal itself.
5. Scheduling, access and delays
Scheduled dates depend on your providing safe and reasonable access to the work area, and on utility, permit and equipment lead times outside our control. We will tell you promptly if a date is going to move and why. We are not liable for delays caused by weather, supplier failure, permit processing or conditions concealed until work begins.
6. Payment
Residential: no deposit for work under $2,000; 40% on scheduling above that, balance due on completion. Commercial: progress billing against agreed milestones, net 15 days. Late balances accrue interest at 1.5% per month or the maximum permitted by California law, whichever is lower. Title to installed equipment passes on final payment.
7. Warranty
We warrant our workmanship for 24 months from completion. Equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty, which we register on your behalf. Warranty does not cover damage from misuse, unauthorised alteration, failure to follow the maintenance schedule supplied at hand-off, storm or flood damage, or work carried out on the system by others.
8. Cancellation
You may cancel a residential contract within three business days of signing, in accordance with California law, and receive a full refund of any deposit. After that point, cancellation is subject to reimbursement of materials already fabricated or specially ordered.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, our total liability arising from any project is limited to the amount you paid us for that project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost business revenue or spoiled stock. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
10. Intellectual property
All text, photographs, logos, drawings and layout on this website belong to Redwood Draft Ventilation Co. unless credited otherwise. Shop drawings prepared for your project are licensed to you for the operation and maintenance of that building.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Del Norte County, California. We ask that you raise any concern with us directly first — most things are resolved with a phone call.
